Day 1: Marrakech - Atlas Mountains – Ait ben Hadou – Ouarzazate –Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga desert
Embark on your 2 days from Marrakech desert tour early in the morning. As you leave the bustling city of Marrakech, the landscape quickly changes to the serene and picturesque Atlas Mountains. Enjoy the winding roads and stunning views as you pass through the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, one of Morocco's most scenic drives. Your first significant stop is at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou. This ancient fortified village is a quintessential example of Moroccan earthen clay architecture and has served as the backdrop for numerous Hollywood movies and TV shows. Take your time to explore the narrow alleyways and towering kasbahs. Continue your desert tour from Marrakech with a drive towards the Rose Valley. The drive offers breathtaking scenery, with lush palm groves and traditional Berber villages dotting the landscape. Depending on the season, you might see locals harvesting roses used for making perfumes and beauty products. Next, head towards the Todra Gorge. The towering limestone cliffs that flank the Todra River provide a stunning backdrop for an afternoon walk. This area is a popular spot for rock climbers and offers plenty of opportunities for taking memorable photographs. Later we will continue our way to Merzouga Desert. Arrive in Merzouga and prepare for your camel ride adventure. Camels, often referred to as the "ships of the desert," will take you on a mesmerizing journey across the golden dunes of the Sahara. As you ride towards your Marrakech to Merzouga desert camp, the landscape transforms into a sea of sand with dunes that shift and change color as the sun sets. Arrive at your Merzouga desert camp just in time to witness the breathtaking sunset over the dunes. After settling into your tent, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner under the star-lit sky. The evening is filled with cultural activities such as Berber music and drumming around the campfire. Spend the night in a comfortable tent, experiencing the serene and magical atmosphere of the Sahara.
Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Nkob – Agdz – Ouarzazate – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
Start your second day with a stunning sunrise over the dunes. After a hearty breakfast, ride your camel back to Merzouga. Once back in Merzouga, begin your drive back to Marrakech. The journey takes you through the town of Alnif and the picturesque Nkob, offering glimpses of rural Moroccan life and stunning desert landscapes. Continue towards Ouarzazate, where you can take a brief break to stretch your legs and enjoy a quick meal. Resume your drive back through the scenic Atlas Mountains, passing through the Tizi n'Tichka Pass once more. Arrive back in Marrakech in the early evening, concluding your 2-day desert tour from Marrakech.
