Marrakesh – Ait Benhaddou – Gorge Dades
Your journey begins with a warm welcome at Marrakesh airport or your hotel, where our team will greet you. From there, we’ll embark on an exciting adventure to Ouarzazate, a historic caravan town situated in the eastern foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Ouarzazate is often referred to as the Gateway to the Sahara, and you’ll soon see why.
As we leave Marrakesh, you’ll be treated to the breathtaking scenery of the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we’ll pass through the charming Berber town of Taddert and ascend the Tizi-in-Tichka pass, which stands at an impressive elevation of 2260 meters.
Our first major stop is the famous Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, located 30 kilometers from Ouarzazate. This remarkable kasbah is one of the most captivating red-earth castles found along the ancient Kasbahs route, and it holds the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage status. We’ll enjoy a delightful lunch near the Kasbah and then continue our journey towards Dades Gorge via Ouarzazate, often referred to as “the Hollywood of Africa.”
As we travel along the “Road of the Thousand Kasbahs,” you’ll be captivated by the enchanting sandcastle-like structures that dot the landscape. Our journey continues with a stop at Kalaat Mgouna, affectionately known as “the Rose’s City” due to its abundance of roses and the annual rose harvest festival held in May. Afterward, we’ll make our way to our hotel, nestled in the heart of the Dades Gorge, where you can unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Merzouga

Leaving the Dades Valley behind, we’ll head towards Tinrghir and the Todra Valley. As we travel, you’ll be treated to panoramic views of ancient mud-built Berber villages perched on the hillsides overlooking the valley. Our 5-Day Marrakech Desert Tour continues to the Todra Gorge, where you’ll have the chance to take a walk beneath the towering 300-meter-high red cliffs.
